Frequently Asked Questions About Garganega White Wine
-
Garganega wine is often compared to Pinot Grigio, Soave, Verdicchio, and sometimes unoaked Chardonnay. It is a dry Italian white wine with citrus, pear, almond, and subtle floral notes, but usually has more texture and a softer, rounder feel than a very crisp Pinot Grigio. If you enjoy fresh, food-friendly white wines that are not overly tropical or sweet, Garganega is a good match.

Our Garganega is grown here in our vineyard in the Southern Downs region of South East Queensland. It is a rare wine to find in Australia, and is most strongly associated with Veneto in northern Italy, especially Soave around Verona and Vicenza.

Gargenega is usually made in stainless steel, but can be oaked for extra texture. Please ask us about our current vintage, as it may vary year by year.
