Frequently Asked Questions About Cortese Wine

Is Cortese wine dry?

Cortese is made in a dry style, meaning it has little to no residual sugar. Expect a crisp, clean finish with refreshing acidity rather than sweetness.

How does Cortese compare to Sauvignon Blanc?

Cortese is usually more subtle and refined than Sauvignon Blanc, with a cleaner and less pungent aroma. If you enjoy the freshness of Sauvignon Blanc but want something softer and more delicate, Cortese’s citrus and floral notes might be for you.

What other wines is Cortese similar to?

Cortese often appeals to people who like Pinot Grigio, Verdicchio, Vermentino, and Dry Riesling.

Is Cortese a good wine for Queensland weather?

Cortese’s naturally crisp acidity and refreshing finish make it ideal for warm days in South East Queensland. Think long lunches, picnics, and summer evenings on the deck.

Is Cortese a low-sugar wine?

Most dry Cortese wines are very low in sugar compared to sweeter styles.
